ALI KNOX, ALLIED ASID
Ali Knox, Allied ASID is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the oldest and largest professional organization for interior designers. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She has had the opportunity to work with some award-winning designers where she gained experience and knowledge about the design industry. Upon graduation, Ali began her career as an entry level manager at the popular retail store, Crate and Barrel in Atlanta. She quickly worked her way up to Sales Manager, where she led and managed the entire sales and customer service team.
Combining her passion, background and education for design, as well as the retail experience, Ali and her mother, Janet, who has always had a good eye for design, set forth to create Charcoal Lane in 2013. It began as a one of a kind boutique store with in-home interior design.
In 2015, the residential interior design side of the business had taken off, and Ali and Janet made the decision to close the retail storefront and focus solely on design. Ali has designed homes from Atlanta to Athens, Madison, Greensboro, and the surrounding areas. Her style is timeless and combines classic furnishings and one of a kind pieces with an unexpected modern twist. She has a love for fabrics and texture and believes that alone can truly create a stunning space.
